THE SCHOOL HAS ITS OWN RENTED TRAINING FACILITY WITHIN THE WALLS OF FORT REGENT SPORTS & LEISURE CENTRE.
The dojo is self contained and and is furnished with a 900+ square foot matted area, consisting of a layer of judo mats covered by a sailcloth canvas laced to a wooden frame. There is a 'kamiza', or 'dojo shrine' at the head of the dojo containing the photograph of the late-founder of Aikido, Professor Morihei Ueshiba.
LIGHTING & HEATING
The dojo has access to lighting and heating/cooling systems operated by Fort Regent.
The dojo has an on-site office space used for instructors as an office and changing area. This is where all paperwork is contained pertaining to the School.
Students have access to a number of toilets, changing and showering facilities within the Fort itself. These facilities have disabled access.
Students are encouraged to bring with them any refreshment they may wish to consume, however there are vending machines inside the Fort.
PHOENIX RISING SHOP
We have a small shop situated in the dojo which is open during sessions (or just before/after). This is situated in a cupboard to the left as you enter the dojo. All instructors have access to this facility where you can purchase school badges; training gi, hakama, school T-Shirts & Sweatshirts, dojo zori (slippers) and kung fu slippers (tai chi) and any other related products.
